After the world’s first DIY open AR glasses version 1.0 launch at Photonics West 2022 in San Franciso, the Humor project adds an open AR roadmap for the coming years 2022-2026 to follow. The goal of the Open AR team (open source community) is to make this strategic technology roadmap for future versions to come and this will happen in collaboration with all Humor partners, companies, Universities involved in the Humor project.
The Open Source Community for Augmented Reality is meant for everyone interested in affordable and open Augmented Reality HW and SW. The current AR/VR market is dominated by big companies and each of their hardware is their own walled garden. We want to change this and democratize AR. We are also in the process to define version 2.0 with improved specifications following the roadmap mentioned below. At this point, we are looking for companies and organizations to join us as members of the community to create the discussion and individuals can join the association if they agree to do voluntary work for the association.
